If you just want to see the best, here are some of the best pictures I’ve taken with my digital camera. I’m still learning, but some are pretty good.

I like to take photos of things, lots of things. Weird things, still life, strange light, whatever. I also take pictures of people, but I’m not very good at it.

I almost always have my camera with me anymore. So, I have pictures from lots of events, big and small. Here are pictures from some events of the Bay Area Brew Crew, a homebrewing club Jenny and I are in. The 1999 BABC Picnic in beautiful, but sometimes foggy Half Moon Bay. A couple pictures from the BABC Anchor Tour we did this year. It was fun, just like it is every year. I think I was at Anchor 3 times in the month of November. No, I’m not complaining. And also, the 1999 BABC Holiday party.

Some work related events (It’s a tough job). 1999 GABF, and the Real Beer Stogie and Stout party afterwards. We had another vertical tasting this year, focusing in barley wines. The great fridge painting project. Carlene’s Good-Bye Party. The National Brewpub Conference, in Chicago this year. Another Stogie and Stout party, this time at the Oregon Brewer’s Festival. And, a small get together at Magnolia for Thanksgiving. Our offices and people at Real Beer.

Even after working at Real Beer for 2 years, I can still enjoy beer festivals, if I’m not working anyway. Here’s the San Jose International Beer Festival, and the 1999 California Small Brewers Festival.

No place to put this: How Berkeley Can You Be Festival — Art Cars competition.

Some other parties with friends. We have some friends in a band, The National Joy Band. Here are some pictures from their CD Release Party / Halloween Party. And from a show at El Rio.

Another great Halloween party, courtesy of Darci and Silva.

Jenny and I took a short cruise to Ensenada, Mexico for our wedding anniversary. It’s not a great place, but the cruise was fantastic! We finished out the year at a great New Year’s Eve party at Tom and Charlene’s.

Then, there are places. I recently re-discovered the Musee Mechanique at Cliff House in San Francisco. It’s fantastic. I need to go back and take 200 more pictures. It’s also close to a San Francisco landmark, the Camera Obscura.

I seem to have gone to Anchor Brewing in San Francisco a lot this year. That’s OK, I got lots of great pictures.

One of the best places to spend a day in the bay area is Angel Island. I don’t know why we don’t do it more. Bridges are abundant and very easy to take pictures of there. The Bay Bridge isn’t as pretty as the Golden Gate, the most photographed structure in the world.

Other things to see in San Francisco include China Beach, Chinatown, City Hall, Coit Tower and the beautiful frescos inside Coit Tower, Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Funston, Land’s End, Marin Headlands, my favorite beach, Pescadero Beach, and Roaring Camp Railroad. And other misc. places around the bay area.

Of course, there’s San Diego too. Coronado Brewing Company, California Center for the Arts, odd pictures of a pier at night. Last, but not least, the San Diego Zoo.

We took a (again) too short trip to Kauai, Hawaii in 1999. It was great!

Other places of interest: Chicago, IL, Portland, Oregon.
